The
Superdorm Project
Superdorm,
the student dormitory at Boğaziçi University Culture and Sports Facilities
Campus, consists of 5 blocks that cover 22 000 m². Generous donations from
major donors made most of the complex possible. The buildings are named
according to the wishes of the major donors. Moreover, apartments, rooms, and
some of the recreation rooms are named after the graduating classes,
institutions, and individual alumni who made lesser but very valuable
contributions to realize the SUPERDORM project.

Life
in Superdorm
Superdorm
has 130 student apartments, each having a capacity of from 2 to 5 students. All
of the bedrooms in the apartments are designed for one student only. Besides its
bedrooms, an apartment consists of a living room, a kitchenette, a bathroom and
a storage room. All of the apartments are furnished for students use.
Furnishings
in common area in each apartment include a small, mini-bar type refrigerator in
the kitchenette, sofas, a coffee table, bookshelves, a dining table and chairs,
a TV table and a built-in wardrobe. Each bedroom includes a twin bed, large
desk/table, chair, built-in shelves and cabinets, and a closet. Each apartment
also has a common storage cabinet and shelves. Apartments are designed so that
students can move in with only their individual bedding, towels, and belongings.
The
cold water running in the dormitory is purified, softened and ultra violet
filtered. All individual rooms are wired for telephones. Access to the
university's computer network and the Internet is possible from individual rooms
through modems. Network access is provided in the computer lab located in the
basement.
Superdorm
is designed to meet most of your needs. You may have your meals at the
University's dining halls or at Superdorm canteen, which is open from 09:00 a.m.
to midnight. A typical meal may cost about US$2.00. The building is equipped
with central heating and a 24-hour hot water system.
Superdorm,
located in the Uçaksavar Campus (Boğaziçi University Culture and Sports
Facilities Campus), is approximately 8 minutes walk from the North Campus and 15
minutes walk from the South Campus.
