FOREIGN STUDENTS AND SCHOLARS ADVISOR

  





 

  

The Office of International Programs provides assistance for foreign scholars and students applying for a degree program in Bogazici University. Foreign students may attend to a degree program in Boğaziçi University by taking the Examination for Foreign Students (YÖS), an examination organised by The Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) every year or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I).  For more information, refer to the Admission page of Bogazici University.

 

YÖS is only for those applicants who wish to enrol in undergraduate programs. Students wishing to transfer to an undergraduate program must apply directly to the Registrar’s Office.  The acceptance as a transfer student requires departmental approval. 

 

Foreign scholars applying for a teaching position at Boğaziçi University should follow the procedure below:

  1. Scholars should apply directly to the  Chairman of the Department, which they would like to work in.

  2. They should obtain necessary information about official processes such as getting a visa from the Foreign Students & Scholars Advisor.

  3. Upon arrival, the scholar must contact the Office of International Programs for assistance in obtaining a residence permit.
