Students are evaluated based on their academic performances and language skills. The detailed rules are are revised and made public by the Exchange and Placement Committee (Değişim ve Yerleştirme Komisyonu) every year before the placement process begins. The current evaluation comprises an academic point depending on the GPA at the time of the application, in part depending on the applicant's relative standing within the applicant pool and in part on her/his relative standing in her/his academic unit, and a language point.
