Degree Students
If you have never been a citizen of Turkey and want to apply to Boğaziçi University for an undergraduate Bachelor's degree you must take the Examination for Foreign Students (YÖS), an examination organised by The Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) once a year or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT Reasoning Test).
Prospective students can apply to maximum three Boğaziçi Academic Departments with SAT or YÖS score cards.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Upon receiving YÖS or SAT score card, the prospective student should contact with the Foreign Students Advisor.
- The Registrar's Office accepts applications once a year (the first week of July) for undergraduate degree programs. Please consult the Academic Calendar for exact dates. Application documents sent by e-mail or fax are not accepted. Prospective students should complete all documents required and send them within the application period by trustable courier companies directly to the Registrar's Office.
- Accepted students' list and required documents for pre-registration days are usually announced through our webpage in August.
- Acceptance letters are sent by the Registrar's Office to the addresses which prospective applicants write on application forms.
- Accepted students should go to the nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate with the Acceptance Letters in order to get a "Student Visa". Note that students who take the YÖS exam in Ankara, Turkey do not need to get a " Student Visa".
