We welcome the University of California System with its ten campuses among our exchange partners. Starting with the 2011-2012 academic year undergraduate and graduate students from both institutions will be able to participate in the exchange program.
Up to 10 Boğaziçi students will be able to spend one semester at one of the ten campuses of the UC system:

Placement at the UC system will be performed in two stages. Boğaziçi students will select "University of California" in their preference lists. After the placements are announced, if a student is placed at the University of California the second stage of placement for that student starts. Now the student has to select up to three UC campuses (e.g. 1- Berkeley, 2- Los Angeles, 3- Merced) by making sure that his/her study program exists at that campus. Note that most of the UC campuses are on a quarter system. Please check their academic calendar along with programs/courses to take. Office of International Relations will send these nominations to the UC and they will give the decision on the final placement.
