Graduate and Post-doctoral students: Participate in the 47th St. Gallen Symposium

The 47th St. Gallen Symposium will meet this year on 3-5 May 2017 with the theme, “The Dilemma of Disruption.” 

Graduate and postgraduate students are invited to submit their ideas to qualify for participation in the world’s premier conference for intergenerational dialogue for an all-expenses paid experience of a lifetime.

For almost 50 years, the St. Gallen Symposium has offered a life-changing experience for students from around the world. Boğaziçi University students are invited to compete for the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award 2017, the world’s foremost student essay competition. Each year, this competition offers graduate and postgraduate students from all fields of study the unique opportunity to participate as “Leader of Tomorrow” at the St. Gallen Symposium, in the company of 600 entrepreneurs, top managers, politicians and scientists from more than 60 nations. Each year, more than 400 universities worldwide support our student initiative.

Students will:

  • Share their ideas with the symposium’s global audienc
  • Meet 200 of the world’s brightest young minds.
  • Attend small (10 students max), intimate gatherings with world leaders. In previous years sessions hosted such luminaries as Paul Achleitner, Prof. Niall Ferguson, Robert Dudley, Kumi Naidoo, Tidjane Thiam, Robert Zoellick. This year, students will have the opportunity to meet with Dominic Barton, Prof. Niall Ferguson, Christine Lagarde, Jack Ma, Ratan Tata, and President Tony Tan, among others

Prize money: The 6 best student contestants compete on the big stage for the prestigious award and for a total prize money of CHF 20,000.
